A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.

In 2012,  co-founder, Adam Diskin, moved to Nashville from the Pacific Northwest where he searched far and wide to get his hands on a similar true cider experience that he was familiar with in Washington, Canada and England.

After years of searching with no luck, he felt it was time to finally start his own. He connected with dear friend, Todd Evans, to begin their journey in building Nashville’s first and only craft cidery. Not only did they want to bring true craft cider to Tennessee and the South, but they focused on making cider the traditional way by crafting cider solely using fresh-pressed apples to break the mold of overly sweet cider.

This fueled their fire to share what authentic cider tastes like with the community. Adam and Todd studied under an English Cider Master to learn to make cider the way it’s been made for centuries. Part of this tradition is how friends and family would gather together and drink cider in their neighbor’s barns while looking up at the stars. If you’re ever able to come to the cidery, you’ll find that their architecture has wooden planks in the ceiling and hanging pendant lights, which was purposefully made to emulate the barn tradition in hopes that each one of you feel at home in our space.
