2024’s Most Anticipated Blockbuster Movies

2024 cinematically will be heavily into musical productions, animated films and sequels for the big screen. Here is our list for the movies we are looking for in 2024:

• Wicked Part 1 – November 2024-  Broadway’s fourth-longest-running show, surpassing Cats and earning over a billion dollars. Add to that the vocals of Ariana Grande, and this will be a holiday movie with a taste of horror and a blockbuster on a grand scale.
• Roadhouse – March 2024 – In this modern re-make of the Swayze 1989 hit, a ripped Jake Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter turned “cooler” in the Florida Keys. UFC fans will see many familiar faces including that of bad boy Conor McGregor.
• Fall Guy– March 2024- Ryan Gosling stars as the “stuntman that made Eastwood look so fine” . A remake of the 80s hit TV show starring Lee Majors.
• IF-May 2024- A script about a young girl who can see people’s discarded imaginary friends. This partially animated film includes the voices of Matt Damon, Steve Carell, and Emily Blunt. Stars Ryan Reynolds in both a live and animated character. It won’t be the last time we see Ryan Reynolds in 2024.
• Dead Pool 3 – May 2024- We told you you would see a lot of Ryan Reynolds in 2024. The wisecracking Superhero returns and finally fulfills his dream of being an X-man alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
• Twisters – July 2024 – The classic Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton movie gets a climate-changing update.
• Beetlejuice 2– September 2024 – It’s showtime! Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, and Wynona Ryder return with upcoming star Jenna Ortega from Netflix’s Wednesday.
• Joker: Folie à Deux – October 2024 – This is going to be part action, drama, and musical. Joaquin Phoenix returns as the dark Joker and Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn. This sequel will take us more towards the classic Cesar Romero’s Joker character.
• Gladiator 2 –  November 2024 – This will be a sequel to the original and Denzel Washington will play a significant role. Ridley Scott directs.
• The Karate Kid – December 2024 – Jackie Chan is starring in this yet-again-remake, but the rumors are with more of a Cobra Kai feel to it.
