It’s our 2nd Annual College Football Special here at Cloud 9 Magazine. Last year we took you to some of the stadiums where we fly, this year we add a couple of new stadiums and step out on the wild side and make our predictions for the College Football Playoffs.

Arkansas State University

Located in Jonesboro, Arkansas the Red Wolves play in the Sun Belt Conference under head coach Butch Jones. Their home season kicks off September 9th with up-the-road rival Memphis. To date, 54 players from Arkansas State have made it to the NFL. Maybe, most notable, Demario Davis who played linebacker for 11 years with the Jets.

The stadium holds just over 30,000 people and has that great small college feel on a fall afternoon.

Georgia Tech

Atlanta, Georgia is Home to the Ramblin’ Wreck and a deep college football tradition. Historic Bobby Dodd Stadium holds just over 55,000 fans. A member of the ACC a pre-game and post-game must is to go down the street and hit the Varsity for an old fashioned chili dog and a peach-fried pie!

College Football Playoffs

This year the college football playoffs expands to 12 teams, which makes things much more interesting. Perrenials like Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Alabama expect to be part of the equation. But, questions remain, like will TCU return? Who is that team no one will see coming? Do Texas and/or Oklahoma get in before leaving the conference?  The same question runs for UCLA and USC. One dark horse may be a resurging Florida State.

But, in a way too early CFP Championship Prediction, this writer goes with:  Alabama
