With St. Patrick’s Day falling on Sunday, March 17th this year, it’s a long weekend for many who are Irish for a day (please remember to drink responsibly). If you are looking for some shenanigans to celebrate the green this year, check out these delicious, and sometimes fun, cocktail recipes with an Irish twist.
Lucky Charm Shots
These are magically delicious! Take a cup of milk and pour a half cup of Lucky Charms in it and set it in the fridge. While that is infusing, put around a 1/4 cup of vanilla cake frosting on a plate and then crush a 1/2 cup of Lucky Charms finely and put it on another plate. Now remove the milk we infused and strain it into a bowl. Now add a cup (or more) of Bailey’s and mix with a spoon . Take your shot glasses and first dip the rim into the frosting and then into the cereal powder. Finally, pour a shot and enjoy!
Irish Grasshoppers
This one is easy! A shot of Creme de Menthe. 2 Shots of any Chocolate Liqueur. 1 shot of Vodka. Put all of these in a shaker over ice. Shake vigorously and strain into small cocktail glasses. Shaved chocolate makes a nice garnish!
Irish Floats
Yet another easy one. Great with a slice of Guinness Chocolate cake. And if you drop the booze the kids can enjoy it also. Take tall soda glasses or a tall drinking glass. Put 2 scoops of Vanilla ice cream per glass. Pour a generous amount of chocolate syrup over the ice cream. Add a shot of Bailey’s and finish off the glass with Guinness beer and enjoy!!
