Memphis in May is an annual event that has become a month-long celebration. And Southern Airways is ready to take you there. Music, BBQ, and a history that goes back to the 70s, Memphis In May one of Noth America’s most prestigious festivals.
A few facts:
- Memphis In May returns to the downtown riverfront and Tom Lee Park which is in the middle of a major renovation.
- Beale Street Music Festival is May 5-7, 2023. The 3 Day Music Festival brings top acts from all over the world.
- World Championship BBQ Contest – May 17-20, 2023 will have around 150 Teams representing the best of barbecue that has been honing their craft for years compete for the title of World Champion and a share of the more than $145,000 in prize money. The Contest features championship pork categories of Ribs, Shoulder, and Whole Hog, as well as the ancillary competitions of Hot Wings, Sauce, and “Anything But Pork.”
- Great American River Run- May 27,2023 half marathon, 10K, or 5K entries being accepted.
- Memphis will also give an International Salute to Malaysia during the whole month of May.
