The Denver, Colorado area is a charming place to visit any time of year. From the outdoor farmers’ markets in the summer to the ski resort vacations of winter it offers incredible experiences during any season. November not only offers unbelievable beauty but also plenty of unique, memorable experiences. Here is a collection of some of our favorite November activities located in Denver and the surrounding areas.

Georgetown Loop Railroad and Mining Park

Since the late 1880s, Georgetown has been a popular place to discover colorful scenery during the fall months. Once an active mining town, it has now become a place to experience rich history, breathtaking hikes, shopping and various tours. Hop on one of a few trains to tour the majestic mountains in their autumn glory or even experience a Christmas adventure with family as you tour Santa’s North Pole on select November days.

Whiskey, History and Outlaws Tour

For $45 you can go on a 3-hour walking tour of Downtown Denver to learn all about whiskey, history and outlaws. Discover how all three are deeply rooted in the history of Denver and how they shaped the area to be what it is today. Meet your tour guide at Denver’s oldest Irish Pub and sample various whiskeys and cocktails as you uncover the secrets of the Wild West. Visit Denver Like a Local Tours for more information.

Take a Ski Day Trip

Arapahoe Basin provides the longest ski and ride season in all of Colorado. It is located about an hour east of Denver and offers the highest skiable terrain on the entire North American content. You can rent all of your ski and snowboard equipment on the mountain or reserve it ahead of time online.
