Valentine’s Day is great if you are in a relationship, but, can be a bit sad if you are single….UNLESS you embrace it!!! Couples call is “Valentine’s Day” , I prefer to embrace my singleness and call it “Independence Day”!
And what screams single independence more than the favorite cocktail of the girls that helped us through many a singles Valentine’s Day: The Sex and The City Cosmopolitan!
Pink, delicious, and sure to make you forget everything but your cat after a couple. So CHEERS! Embrace your singleness and enjoy!
Ingredients (1 serving)
- 11/2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau or Grand Marnier
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- Orange rind twist or lime wheel for garnish
Instructions

To begin, fill a cocktail shaker up with ice. Pour 1½ ounces of vodka in the shaker followed by 1 ounce of cranberry juice, ½ ounce of Cointreau (or Grand Marnier) and a ½ ounce of lime juice. Shake the cocktail shaker for about 30 seconds until well chilled. Then, strain into a martini glass. You can garnish with an orange rind twist or a lime wheel. In the television show, Sex and the City, their drinks were often garnished with an orange rind twist .
