Graceland-at-Christmas

It is a well-known fact that Christmas was Elvis’ favorite time of year. This is a prominent reason why Elvis fans flock to Graceland during the holidays but all the Christmas festivities aren’t just for diehard Elvis fans, the experience is truly something everyone can enjoy.

For those unfamiliar, Graceland is located in Memphis, Tennessee. It is a mansion that sits on 13.8 acres and was once owned by Elvis Presley. It was opened as a museum to the public in 1982 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2006 and is currently the most visited privately-owned home in America, counting on average over 650,000 visitors each year.

The Royal Rock and Roll Christmas Experience

Elvis is well considered the King of Rock and Roll to this day and the holiday festivities that surround his home every Christmas is nothing short of being fit for a King. It has been voted the #1 Best Historic Holiday Home Tour by USA Today and with good reason.

Visitors can experience special Holiday Tours of the Graceland Mansion and the elaborately adorned grounds. The home is still decorated with Elvis’ preferred holiday decor traditions to include hundreds of blue Christmas lights lining the driveway, a lifesize Nativity scene, Elvis’ original Santa and sleigh on the front lawn and so much more. During the interior tour, you will discover Elvis’ customary red velvet drapes, Christmas trees throughout the entire home and plenty of Presley family artifacts on display.

Graceland is decorated from November 18, 2021, through January 9, 2022. When you visit in December you can delight in tours that feature live tour guides sharing time-honored Presley family stories. You also have the option to book a UVIP Tour while visiting Graceland.
